e-Fence

e-Fence is a concert/performance for cello, alto horn, tape and live electronics.

The music moves over the borders of composition, improvisation, performance

and fencing. All sounds, all music material, and the theoretical background are
built upon fencing, and fencing terminology.

The concert takes around one hour, and is performed on a fencing piste, with

real masks and costumes, but with bow and horn instead of florette and sabre.

Often we are accompanied by dancers, in full fencing costume.

e-Fence was on tour in Sweden in autumn 2006, and will next play in Växjö
15 June 2007. Below you can hear some samples from the music.

Martin Q Larsson [alto horn & electronics] is a composer and musician, and leads

many groups within Swedish contemporary music. Martin is trumpeter in Mighty

Quark and Bacuzzi. Records include Wind Music [Sfz Records 2003], and Barnvisor

för vuxna [Gammafon 2002].

Christian Hörgren [cello & scenography] is a cellist, architect and writer.

Christian works with his own groups, such as Apan and Pallin, as well as being a

string player for many big Swedish artists, such as The Concretes and Ulf Lundell.

Christian has also created scenography for several theatre and dance shows.
